Concentration #5

In this concentration I did 4 citra-solv transfers to create a new structure with the tree branches. I worked back into the concentration with watercolor pencils to make the colors more bold.

  1. The only thing I would do... is maybe add some ink or some kind of paint and draw back in. Just to enhance the design maybe. Looks good though!

  2. I agree with Kelly on this one. I might add some ink so that it really draws your eye to the amazing shapes that you've created in the middle, they make your pieces really strong. I really like what you've done repetition-wise, I never would've thought to do anything like that in my work. I can't wait to see your next piece! :)

  3. i agree with mo and kelly about the re-drawing. how you've citra-solved the peictures has created such interesting designs..almost a spider web effect but if you re-draw it would make it even cooler. i really love this one! def my favorite piece so far!!

  4. I agree with the comments to add ink or even sharpie or darker colored pencil. I think pushing the contrast will take this piece from good to great! This is a clear repetitive structure and a very nice piece. I feel like with this image and the last image, you are getting a feel for how to represent rain. I'm not sure I see the emotional connection. However, it is a valid concentration to simply show rain in 12 different ways. I think if you push the design structures we learned, it will be a very strong concentration when done.
