Concentration #8

I did four citra solv transfers... two of which are tinted red, the other two are black and white. I drew back into the black and white with colored watercolor pencil. I'm trying to portray a rainbow through the colors being put into the black and white. I'm considering bringing the rainbow colors more into the middle and allowing the outsides to stay black and white.

  1. I love how trippy this is- the way that you flipped and reflected the images works really well! Like I said earlier (or yesterday rather), I'd definitely take the colors into the middle a little bit, maybe through the rain drops. Other than that, it looks really great, keep it up!

  2. very trippy any psycodelic as mo said and you do a great job with the color and manipulating the rain but i think i would be even better if you pushed the color even more all throughout the piece

  3. I love the rainbow color but think it would hvae a greater effect if you caried it throughout. I like the reflection of the citra-solves as well as the light middle compared to the darker edges!

  4. I agree with the above statements to carry the color throughout the piece - I think it would help to unify the work. Perhaps consider making the colors a darker value in the alternative transfers so that they are slightly different? Also, make your coloring very tight and controlled so that it looks more real and not just colored in. I am very pleased with the direction that your concentration is taking! Please see my edits on your statement.
